Four Kinds of Drinks That Can't Be Put in the Vacuum Flasks

A few days ago, the stainless vacuum flask, a sign of "middle age crisis" became popular in the moments, and there was a trend of "regimen". When the winter is coming, people who like drinking warm boiled water keep the vacuum flasks in their hands at any time.

While bringing warmth to people, the vacuum flasks has also become a breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria: if it is not cleaned in time or used improperly, a large number of bacteria will be hidden in it.

Experts remind you of the most neglected hygiene corner this winter: vacuum flasks, and teach you to put an end to the health risks around your mouth.

Ⅰ. The cleaning methods of the stainless vacuum flasks

1. Wash thoroughly once a day

This is the fundamental way to prevent odors and stains. When cleaning, don't just rinse it with water, and the cup surface, liner, and bottle cap are also need to cleaning

2. Wash the liner first, then the cap

Generally, the correct steps are:

(1) put a small amount of salt in the bottle, add warm water, stir well, and soak for 5 to 10 minutes;

(2) remove the cap, squeeze some toothpaste on the toothbrush, and gently brush the gap of the cap;

(3) rinse the whole inside and outside of the cup with clean water;

(4) do not cover the lid immediately after washing, it should be thoroughly dried and then covered to prevent the stainless vacuum flasks from smelling.

Ⅱ. Four kinds of drinks that can't be put in the vacuum flasks

1. The acidic drink

If the inner liner of the ss vacuum flask is made of high manganese low carbon steel, it cannot be used to hold the acidic drinks such as juice or carbonated drinks. This material has poor corrosion resistance, and it is easy to precipitate heavy metals when exposed to acid. Long-term storage of the acidic drinks may damage human health.

In addition, fruit juice is not suitable for high temperature storage, so as to avoid the destruction of its nutrients; and beverages with high sweetness can easily lead to the proliferation of microorganisms and deterioration.

2. The milk

Some people will put hot milk into a stainless vacuum flask and drink it with them. However, the acidic substances contained in dairy products will react chemically with stainless steel, which is not conducive to human health.

Microorganisms in milk will also accelerate reproduction at higher temperatures, causing milk to spoil and deteriorate, causing abdominal pain, diarrhea and other discomforts.

3. The tea

Many middle-aged and elderly people like to fill the stainless vacuum flask with steaming tea when they go out, and it will not get cold all day. However, if the tea leaves are soaked in hot water for a long time, the nutrients contained in them will be destroyed, and the tea water will no longer be mellow and become bitter.

4. The Chinese traditional medicine

Some people are used to frying the traditional Chinese medicine in the morning, carrying it in a stainless vacuum flask, and drinking it in the afternoon. However, the acidity and alkalinity of the  traditional Chinese medicine are different, and it is also easy to corrode the stainless steel inner wall of the stainless vacuum flask, resulting in a chemical reaction and injury to the body after drinking.

The traditional Chinese medicine can be stored for a day or two at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the stainless vacuum flask is high and it is easy to deteriorate. It is recommended to store it at room temperature.
